As the research landscape continues to evolve, navigating ambiguity presents both opportunities for innovation and meaningful changes. This session will emphasize knowledge sharing and lessons learned in community and public health nutrition research among women of reproductive age and children from a variety of different perspectives and career stages, reinforcing that the journey is just as important as the destination.
In addition to reflecting on challenges, the session will focus on next steps and practical strategies for advancing research in a shifting funding and policy environment. Speakers will discuss the current challenges we are facing and how to leverage current momentum around nutrition and lifestyle priorities, including emerging emphases from the NIH and USDA, to support impactful, timely, and sustainable research.
Speakers will also share creative and resource-conscious approaches to conducting community and public health nutrition research, including pragmatic study designs, community-engaged methods, cross-sector partnerships, and innovative dissemination strategies, with a focus on women of reproductive age and children.
