Science communication is increasingly shaped by social media influencers and AI-generated content, creating new opportunities to expand reach and public engagement. This rapid sharing of information - often not based on evidence - can lead to public distrust of science, often with devastating consequences. This event will discuss personal and professional guardrails to maintain credibility and public trust, illustrating how professionals can navigate social media and AI responsibly, using personal stories and empathy to engage viewers, while effectively sharing evidence-based science.
