Nutrition is increasingly recognized as a key modifiable factor in supporting healthy aging. This session will highlight emerging evidence on peanut consumption and its potential impact on brain health, cognition, and functional outcomes in older adults. The discussion will examine various proposed pathways relevant to brain health and physical capacity based on the results of recent randomized controlled trials in peanuts and peanut butter. By integrating newly published and emerging research, this session will provide a science-based overview of how peanut consumption may support healthy aging and discuss approaches for clinical integration and future research.
