This session will highlight the latest mango research, including findings from recent literature reviews, while exploring how researchers can design studies that are both scientifically rigorous and highly relevant in real-world contexts. Attendees will gain practical insight into how commodity-backed research supports both evidence generation and awareness-building and how to incorporate these considerations into study design and proposals. The discussion will examine how to align research questions with broader communication priorities, including consumer relevance and public health impact. The session will also introduce innovative approaches, such as studying nutrient pairings and dietary patterns (e.g., mango and avocado), to better reflect how foods are consumed and to unlock new opportunities for impactful research.
