Dr. Josh Anthony is the Founder and CEO of Nlumn, a business-to-business strategy and innovation firm focused on personalized nutrition and health. Drawing on deep experience in nutrition science, consumer behavior, and commercial innovation, Nlumn works with food and beverage, supplement, and ingredient companies to help them better understand the evolving personalized nutrition marketplace, identify where they can credibly compete, and bring relevant products, services, and digital health experiences to life.
Before founding Nlumn, Josh was the founding Chief Science Officer at Habit, one of the early pioneers in personalized nutrition. He previously served as Vice President of Global Nutrition and Health at Campbell Soup Company, with earlier leadership and roles at Reckitt–Mead Johnson Nutrition and Unilever. He also held an adjunct faculty position in physiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Josh’s work is distinguished by his ability to bridge nutrition science, consumer understanding, and marketplace innovation, an uncommon combination, shaped by more than 25 years of leadership across Fortune 500 companies and startups. He has contributed to the development and launch of more than 150 science-based nutrition products, holds more than 140 patents globally, and is known for translating complex science into practical health solutions that are meaningful to consumers and viable in the marketplace.
Josh serves as a trusted board member and advisor to companies, universities, and nonprofits across the food and nutrition sectors. He was named an Innovate 100 honoree, recognizing top innovators in New Jersey, and is a 2025 ACES Career Achievement Award recipient from the University of Illinois.
Josh holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois, a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Physiology from Penn State College of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
