Christina Vialva is a rising graduate student and part of the inaugural class of the Masters of Science in Food Science program at San Diego State University. She currently assists and takes part in managing analytical nutrition studies under previous ASN president and leader in bone research, Dr. Connie Weaver. A dedicated young leader, Christina currently serves as a student representative for the ASN Vitamin and Minerals RIS and has previously served as Chair of the American Chemical Society’s San Diego Local Section, having authored several ACS grants promoting outreach, education, and professional development among her community at-large. After completing her M.S., she aims to continue her formal education in pursuit of a PhD in Food Science and an eventual career pathway towards conducting food science research within the public sector.
