Keith P. West, Jr., Dr.P.H., M.P.H., is the inaugural George G. Graham Professor of Infant and Child Nutrition in the Dept of International Health in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, MD. He is currently President-Elect and a Class of 2020 Fellow of the ASN. Prof West earned his MPH and DrPH at Johns Hopkins. His work has focused on conducting epidemiological studies and intervention trials to prevent child vitamin A and maternal micronutrient deficiencies, primarily in Bangladesh, Nepal and Indonesia, Malawi, Zambia, and Palestine refugee camps in Jordan. He has coauthored 320 peer-reviewed publications. Prior to entering academia, Dr. West served as a Registered Dietitian in the US Army Medical Specialist Corps.
