Jasmine Hayes, Ph.D., is a Health Scientist Administrator (Program Officer) in the Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS), Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI), Office of the Director at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In her current role, she manages research portfolios, co-funding initiatives, and scientific programs that support dietary supplement research and collaborates across NIH to advance research priorities in dietary supplements and nutrition.
Before joining NIH, Dr. Hayes served as a Chemist at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and as an adjunct instructor, teaching chemistry, microbiology, and medical ethics.
Dr. Hayes earned her Ph.D. in Molecular and Clinical Nutritional Sciences from Virginia Tech. Her current interests include dietary supplements, botanicals, natural products, nutrition research, and the use of population-based data to better understand dietary supplement use and inform future research.
