Donya Shahamati, MS, is a doctoral student in Public Health at the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on nutrition epidemiology, dietary patterns, diet quality, and cardiometabolic health, with a particular interest in aging populations and women’s health. She earned her MS in Nutrition Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she examined metabolic response variability following high-fat and high-carbohydrate meals. Her recent work uses data from the Women’s Health Initiative to study diet quality, sustainable dietary patterns, and cardiovascular disease risk among postmenopausal women. She is interested in advancing evidence-based nutrition research to support long-term health and disease prevention.
