Yvonne Muthiani is a doctoral researcher in Epidemiology at Tampere University, Finland. Her research focuses on maternal and child nutrition and health outcomes across the lifecourse. In collaboration with researchers from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Malawi, and other partners, she is particularly interested in understanding the long-term impact of early-life provision of small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplements (SQ-LNS) on child health, growth, and development. Her broader research experience spans interrelated global health topics including evidence synthesis projects evaluating the effectiveness of antenatal interventions and their role in reducing newborn vulnerability, implementation of digital health innovations in maternal and child healthcare, and epidemiological research on infectious disease control in Kenya, Malawi, and Mali.
