Wajiha Zulfiqar is a Ph.D. candidate in Nutrition Science at Purdue University, where she conducts research under the mentorship of Dr. Cordelia Running. She received her Master of Science in Public Health in Human Nutrition from Johns Hopkins University as a Fulbright Scholar. Her research focuses on how the sensory properties of foods and beverages influence dietary behavior and physiological outcomes related to oral and metabolic health. Her work includes investigating strategies to reduce added sugar intake through sensory approaches and evaluating the effects of beverages on salivary pH and dental health.
