Kris Sollid, RDN is a nationally recognized dietitian and thought leader in consumer nutrition research, with deep expertise in translating complex science into actionable insights. Kris joined the International Food Information Council (IFIC) in 2009, and currently spearheads the organization's consumer research and insights initiatives, including the flagship IFIC Food & Health Survey, a widely cited annual benchmark on Americans' attitudes and behaviors surrounding food and health.
With a unique ability to bridge the gap between public perception and scientific consensus, Kris designs and leads innovative qualitative and quantitative studies that shape understanding of consumer trends in food and nutrition. IFIC insights inform healthcare professionals, industry leaders, media, and policymakers, and his contributions to the organization are regularly featured on national and international platforms.
Kris holds a BA in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Dietetics from the University of Maryland, College Park. A dedicated advocate for evidence-based nutrition, he is an active member of several leading professional societies, including the American Society for Nutrition, the Institute of Food Technologists, and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, where he is a past President of DCMAND, the Academy's District of Columbia affiliate.
