I am a perinatal and women's health epidemiologist with a research portfolio focused on identifying healthy lifestyle behaviors that promote optimal health across the life course, particularly during critical periods, such as pregnancy, postpartum, early childhood, and midlife. I currently lead several NIH-funded cohort studies that apply a 24-hour activity paradigm to integrate physical activity, sedentary behavior, and sleep, with the goal of identifying 24-hour activity profiles associated with reduced risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. In addition, I have experience evaluating the impact of health system-administered lifestyle interventions on cardiometabolic health outcomes across multiple life stages. I am an active collaborator in several national cohort studies, including Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO), Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA), and the Study of Women's Health Across the Nation (SWAN)..
