Dr. Xiaoran Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush University and a nutrition epidemiologist and clinical trialist whose work focuses on diet and cognitive aging. She received her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University, where she conducted dietary intervention randomized controlled trials, and completed postdoctoral training in nutrition epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research integrates dietary exposures, biomarkers, and clinical data to investigate mechanisms linking nutrition to neurodegeneration and cognitive decline. Her work also emphasizes precision nutrition approaches, including diet-gene interactions, to better understand individual variability in cognitive aging.
