Mengqi Duan is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Nutrition at UMass Amherst. She completed her master’s in Nutrition Science and Epidemiology at the University at Buffalo, and her undergraduate degree in Food Quality and Safety at Northeast Agricultural University in China. Her current research direction is nutritional epidemiology, and she is interested in women’s health, microbiome, and maternal and child health.

She will focus on her dissertation work in the coming year and would like to dedicate herself to research in the long run.
