The research focuses on the nutritional role of dietary lipids, from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, in maintaining body composition homeostasis across different stages of life. Her work investigates how dietary fats influence lipid and energy metabolism, as well as metabolic flexibility, through the modulation of the endocannabinoid system and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs). Her research has particularly explored the nutritional properties and metabolic effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), omega-3 fatty acids, and palmitic acid. She conducts translational research using both experimental animal models and human studies, with the aim of advancing the understanding of how specific dietary fatty acids contribute to metabolic health.
