Muzi Na, PhD, MHS, FASN, is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her PhD in human nutrition and an MHS in biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, followed by postdoctoral training in nutritional epidemiology at the University of California, Davis. As the director of Diet and Disparities in Development and Degeneration lab, or the "4D" Lab, Dr. Na investigates how food insecurity, dietary patterns, and targeted interventions impact cognitive, vascular, and sleep health. Her research has been supported by funding from UNICEF, USAID-CRS, GAIN, the USDA and The Peanut Institute Foundation. Dr. Na is an Editorial Science Fellow for The Journal of Nutrition and serves as an associate editor for Nutrition Reviews. She also previously served as Chair of the Community and Public Health Nutrition Research Interest Section (CPHN RIS).
