Dr. Rose is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in the Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Her research focuses on understanding changes in immune cell metabolism that are associated with inflammation and insulin resistance in childhood obesity with the goal of targeting immunometabolism to combat the inflammation that drives progression towards type 2 diabetes.
