PhD Candidate
The Pennsylvania State University
I am a public health and nutrition researcher with interdisciplinary training in medicine, data analysis and behavioral nutrition. I recently completed my Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University, where my research examined food insecurity, executive functioning, uncontrolled eating, and substance use among college students and youth.
I earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in Vietnam and practiced as an otolaryngology physician for more than five years before pursuing a Master of Public Health in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Michigan and becoming a Registered Dietitian. My research experience includes study coordination, data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation using SAS and R, as well as experience with neuroimaging research.
My clinical, nutritional, and public health training has shaped my commitment to advancing research that addresses food insecurity, health disparities, and disease prevention. I am currently seeking research, academic, or public health opportunities where I can apply my interdisciplinary expertise to improve nutrition and population health outcomes.
