Shuangyu Zhao is a PhD student in Nutritional Biology at the University of California, Davis, with a Designated Emphasis in Global Nutrition. Her research focuses on child and adolescent nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, dietary assessment, and the biological, behavioral, social, and environmental determinants of nutritional health in low- and middle-income countries. She has conducted longitudinal, multi-country, and intervention-based research using advanced epidemiologic and statistical methods, with current work examining predictors of micronutrient status and approaches to strengthen dietary assessment among young children in Ghana. Shuangyu earned her MPH and bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.
