Master's Student
University of British Columbia & BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, Canada
I am finishing my Master’s of Science degree in Dr. Michael Kobor’s Lab (BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute & The University of British Columbia). I research the impact of nutritional interventions in malnourished populations at the molecular level, leveraging and expanding my skills in bioinformatics. I am seeking opportunities related to perinatal and infant nutrition and am also open to science communication and project coordination roles. My curiosity drives my passion for research and how science interacts with society. I have experience across multiple scientific domains, including wet lab experience studying the genetics of aging in C. elegans and interviews evaluating food sovereignty in Panamá. I believe that conducting ethical and person-centered research when humans are subjects is crucial.
