Emmanuel Gyimah is a doctoral candidate in Nutritional Biology (with a designated emphasis in International and Community Nutrition) at the University of California, Davis. His doctoral research investigates how micronutrient interventions and dietary patterns shape human milk quality and the gut microbiome/resistome in early childhood. He holds an MPH in Global Health and Epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis and pursues a broad range of research interests including: molecular epidemiology; the physiological impacts of micronutrient deficiencies and poor diets during the first 1000 days of life; transdisciplinary nutrition programming and policy for low-resource contexts; and global food and nutrition insecurity. Emmanuel's research experience spans diverse contexts, featuring fieldwork and collaborations across the United States, Haiti, Ghana, Nigeria, Madagascar, Zambia, and Ecuador.
