I'm Xinyue Lu, a Ph.D. candidate in Nutrition Science and Gerontology at Purdue University. My research work focuses on the roles of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in mediating skeletal muscle physiology and function across different health conditions, including cancer cachexia and sarcopenia. By integrating medical nutrition and muscle biology techniques, my studies explore the potential of dietary lipids and the downstream metabolites as targeted neutraceuticals against skeletal muscle wasting as well as their mechanistic pathways.
