Devika Saran is currently pursuing a PhD in International Nutrition at Cornell University, where her research focuses on the determinants of child linear growth and undernutrition, including work on decomposing the drivers of stunting reduction in Bangladesh using Demographic and Health Survey data.
Before Cornell, she spent close to a decade working across nutrition research, public health, and science communication in India and internationally. She has worked with organizations including PATH and the Public Health Foundation of India on maternal and child health and nutrition programs, served as a medical writer specializing in pediatric and infant nutrition, and practiced as a clinical dietician. She holds a Master's in Food Science and Nutrition and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition.
