Assistant Professor (RTD-B, tenure-track position in the Italian system)
University of Cagliari
CAGLIARI, Sardegna, Italy
Claudia Manca, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at the University of Cagliari, Italy. Her work focuses on the interactions between nutrition, lipid metabolism, and metabolic health, with particular emphasis on the roles of bioactive lipids, the endocannabinoid system, and extracellular vesicles in metabolic regulation. She also investigates how food-derived extracellular vesicles and dietary lipids influence food–host communication and metabolic adaptation. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Cagliari and gained international research experience at Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada. Her studies combine lipidomics, molecular biology, and physiological approaches to identify novel nutritional strategies and biomarkers for the prevention and management of metabolic disorders.
