Dr. Xiaobo Liu is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Pathology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Translational Neuroscience and Pharmacology. Her research investigates how nutritional interventions and bioactive compounds influence neuropathic pain, neuroinflammation, mitochondrial function, gut–brain communication, and metabolic health using preclinical and clinical approaches. She has contributed to multiple interdisciplinary studies involving dietary interventions, molecular analyses, behavioral assessments, microbiome profiling, and metabolomics. She is committed to translating nutrition science into strategies that improve neurological and metabolic health.
