Dr. Koyama is an epidemiologist at the CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity, primarily responsible for nutritional epidemiology and surveillance research using nationwide survey data. His research background includes investigation of risk factors for chronic disease such as diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease and dementia, as well as health services research. He received his doctoral degree in epidemiology at the Harvard School of Pubilc Health.
