Gifty Aboagye-Mensah, MD, MPH, CPH, is a physician and public health researcher at Washington University in St. Louis with training in epidemiology and biostatistics. Her research focuses on maternal and child nutrition, dietary diversity, food systems, and early childhood development, with an emphasis on understanding how nutrition and environmental factors influence health across the life course in low-resource settings. She conducts quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research on maternal and child health, implementation science, and global nutrition, including collaborative work with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Her research has examined maternal nutrition, infant neurodevelopment, food biodiversity, and nutrition-sensitive interventions in Haiti and Ecuador.
