Jie Li, PhD, is Professor and Executive Deputy Director of the Global Health Research Center at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital (Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences), China. He previously conducted research at the Brown University School of Public Health for five years before returning to China. His research integrates nutritional epidemiology, genomics, and experimental biology to investigate how nutrition across the life course influences obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic conditions. Dr. Li has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Diabetes Care, JASN, Hypertension, JAMA Network Open, and eClinicalMedcinen. He serves as Associate Editor of Kidney Diseases and on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Nephrology, and Medicine Advances. His current research focuses on precision nutrition, dietary interventions, and molecular mechanisms underlying metabolic health, with the goal of translating nutritional science into evidence-based strategies for chronic disease prevention.
