Dr. Jasmine Dillon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science at Cornell University. Their research evaluates opportunities to improve the sustainability of livestock and food systems across farm, landscape, and supply chain scales. They combine systems modeling, life cycle assessment, metrics for the nutrient density of food products, and collaborative field research to examine how policies and management practices shape environmental, social, and economic outcomes. Their work identifies tradeoffs among sustainability metrics and outcomes, and opportunities for designing more resilient and equitable agricultural systems. Dr. Dillon earned a Ph.D. in Animal Science from Pennsylvania State University in collaboration with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Research Unit, an M.S. in Animal Breeding from Texas A&M University, and a B.S. in Animal Science from Texas A&M University.
