Dr. TusaRebecca Pannucci is the Acting Director of Dietary Guidelines for Americans Research and Policy at the USDA Food and Nutrition Administration. In this role she provides leadership for organizational and technical aspects of nutrition and economic data analysis related to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
TusaRebecca received her PhD in Nutrition Science at Purdue University, a Master of Science in Food Science, Technology and Nutrition from Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland, and a Master’s in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her post doctorate work at the National Cancer Institute in the Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program where she transitioned her work from development of tools for dietary assessment to analysis of dietary patterns. TusaRebecca joined the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion in 2015 and supporting analyses for the USDA Food Plans, Healthy Eating Index, and the food pattern modeling related to the USDA Food Patterns.
