Lauren O'Connor is the Nutrition and Health Program Lead at the Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center where she leads a team of scientists and epidemiologists to conduct evidence synthesis projects for local, state, federal, and international government bodies and other public health institutions. She also has expertise in randomized controlled feeding trials, dietary assessment and databases, and NHANES. She previously conducted research at the USDA's Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center where she also contributed to the Dietary Reference Intake systematic reviews. She was a Cancer Prevention Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute and served on the Data Analysis Team for the 2020-25 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Automated Self-Administered 24-Hour Dietary Assessment Tool (ASA24?) team. While at NCI, she completed an MPH at Johns Hopkins' Bloomberg School of Public Health, concentrating in epidemiology and biostatistics. Her PhD in Nutrition Science and BS in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness and Health are from Purdue University.
