Dr Sze-Yen Tan is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and Registered Nutritionist in Australia. He leads a program of research focused on advancing health and wellbeing through innovative, evidence-based nutrition strategies. His research vision is to develop simple, pragmatic, and effective dietary interventions that support healthy ageing and help prevent and manage chronic conditions, including obesity and metabolic diseases. Dr Tan’s work integrates mechanistic research, population-based evidence synthesis, and translation through clinical and community-based trials. His current research focuses on how nutrient-dense whole foods, particularly nuts, and dietary patterns influence appetite regulation, body composition, glycaemic control, muscle health, and physical function across the lifespan.
